The SHA1SUM file mentioned above is still on the mirrors as I write
this, less than 10 hours before release.  The signature is usually
at least a few days before the release date.  For example, the F8
SHA1SUM is signed November 2, 2007, six days before release, and
the F7 SHA1SUM is signed May 27, 2007, four days earlier.
