For some reason I had both swfdec and flash-plugin installed, i.e. they
didn't report conflicts with each other when I installed them, however I
couldn't watch any flash video in Firefox. I'd click on the video window
and it would simply disappear. Checking about:plugins showed
flash-plugin but not swfdec (maybe it's not a plugin, I don't know). In
any case, the problem went away when in a moment of inspiration I
removed swfdec.

Note that 1) the two flash systems apparently cannot co-exist, but no
conflict is reported, and b) there was no obvious way I would have found
out that swfdec had anything to do with my problem.

BTW, this is F9pre (rawhide) and FF3beta5.
