Subject: using the internal modem on a Thinkpad T61

Hi,

Does anyone know how to use the internal modem on a Thinkpad in F8? I could not get it to be recognized.

Many thanks,
Trotter

Trotter,
You can download the scanModem utility and hopefully(*cross your fingers*), that your modem is supported.  You can get it from
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/scanModem.gz
copy it to your linux partition
$ gunzip scanModem.gz
$ chmod +x scanModem
$ su -
Password:
run it as superuser
# ./scanModem
will create ModemData.txt.  You can send it to me and I can relay it if needed to the discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Regards,
Antonio
