I've installed several Toshiba Satellites. They have the Atheros wifi
chipset, which up to recently has required getting hold of the Madwifi
drivers and installing. I think it's a bit easier now but I haven't done
it in a while.

Or, if yor Windows partition is Vista, you can actually resize the
partition from within Vista itself. I did this recently and it was
really no hassle. It's somewhere in the System Admin panel IIRC.
