I am trying to run the following command:

f77  -c myprog.f
make: f77: Command not found

How can I get f77 on F8?

Does this add to possible help:
$ which gfortran
/usr/bin/gfortran

gfortran is Fortran-95. I'm no longer sure if it will compile strict F77 programs or not. Hopefully, it will. You would think that if it could, it would support an f77 link. If not, then the compat g77 is the way to go.
