Hi all,
I've currently got a Bugzilla bug (#442457) open for an issue that
prevents me FC9 installation from even getting started - when detecting
my system hardware, hal chokes on a slash in my hard disk's indentifier.
In any case, since the bug hasn't been fixed yet (I'm sure there are
bigger fish to fry right now) I thought I'd take a shot at fixing it
myself so I can kick of my installation. The bug is located in the hal
Python scripts that are included in the stage2 squashfs image, which is
mounted read-only when I boot up with the CD. I've search done a ton of
searching but haven't found details on how I can modify those files and
create a new install CD including the modifications.
Anyone have any experience with something similar?
I couldn't install F9 Beta either, because of an Anaconda bug
apparently. Try the Preview version which came out a couple of days ago.
It has different bugs :-)

Thanks Patrick, but I've actually already tried the Preview version and
it hits the same error.
