I've been quite happy with fc6 for a few years now having migrated from SuSE and Ubuntu. The backup of personal data is my main problem or hold-up. k3b can backup to cd but has a real problem with my dual-layer dvd burner. I realize a fresh install, maybe to fc-8 would be the best route but I don't want to recreate all my preferences et-all if at all possible. My desktop machine is also a bit dated and imagine upgrading to a newer model in the short future. I can add another drive and dual boot if necessary and transfer data from one distro to another. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
