Is anyone running a Firefox 3 beta on F8? Could you check the image at this location: http://www.martnet.com/~jes/temp/biome_lab.png

On my system, I get a normal-looking page load, but the image itself is completely blank. All I see is the page background.

The image area is active on the page: right-click > Properties gives me the right info about the image.

Other PNGs work fine; I think the difference is that this one is indexed, where the others that work are RGB. I haven't tested that thoroughly, but at least for the image I linked to above, it works fine if I save it from Gimp in RGB mode.

Any ideas what the problem could be? How should I follow up?

I'm using the binary tar from mozilla.org; does anyone have a Fedora build of the latest beta I could test?

No errors on the console; running in -safe-mode doesn't help.

According to ldd, it's using the system libpng:

$ ldd /opt/firefox/firefox-bin
        ...
        libpng12.so.0 => /usr/lib/libpng12.so.0 (0x0086a000)
        ...
$ rpm -q libpng
libpng-1.2.22-1.fc8

firefox-2.0.0.12-1.fc8 and konqueror using the same libraries work fine.

TIA for any suggestions,

<Joe

Works with Fx 3b4
