Get two, one each from two manufacturers and hard/soft raid 1 them.

tomshardware often has info that you miht find useful.

DaveT: Sounds like things have changed over the years. I grew upthinking some hard drives might be prone to problems. Good to hearquality standards are pretty high, now.
