You either don't have gtk2-devel installed or the efax config check is doing something silly or incorrect. Look in config.log or config.status for more details on the failure. You should be able to verify for yourself whether pkgconfig can find an appropriate gtk package. I get this: $ rpm -q gtk2-devel gtk2-devel-2.12.8-1.fc8 $ pkg-config --modversion gtk+-2.0 2.12.8 Since you're using x86_64, you may want to tell rpm to show you the architecture when you query packages. You can do that by adding this to /etc/rpm/macros: %_query_all_fmt %%{name}-%%{version}-%%{release}.%%{arch} -- Todd OpenPGP -> KeyID: 0xBEAF0CE3 | URL: www.pobox.com/~tmz/pgp ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries of life disappear and life stands explained. -- Mark Twain
