i posted a solution to compile truecrypt 5.0 on 64-bit linux in the ubuntuforums: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=689269 just use the wxWidgets-2.8.7-all source package, then apply the patch-file you can find http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=4281459&postcount=13 here to the source, and it should work.
