On my WinXP FC8 dual boot laptop, I had my wifi working after following installing the code as indicated on this newsgroup. Now it no longer works with FC8, while it continues to work with WinXP on the same box. Suggestions would be most appreciated. For these tests, I have encryption off. Here is some data: # dmesg b43-phy0 debug: DMA-32 0x0200 (RX) max used slots: 1/64 b43-phy0 debug: DMA-32 0x02A0 (TX) max used slots: 0/128 b43-phy0 debug: DMA-32 0x0280 (TX) max used slots: 0/128 b43-phy0 debug: DMA-32 0x0260 (TX) max used slots: 0/128 b43-phy0 debug: DMA-32 0x0240 (TX) max used slots: 0/128 b43-phy0 debug: DMA-32 0x0220 (TX) max used slots: 2/128 b43-phy0 debug: DMA-32 0x0200 (TX) max used slots: 0/128 input: b43-phy0 as /class/input/input17 b43-phy0 debug: Loading firmware version 351.126 (2006-07-29 05:54:02) b43-phy0 debug: Chip initialized b43-phy0 debug: 32-bit DMA initialized Registered led device: b43-phy0:tx Registered led device: b43-phy0:rx Registered led device: b43-phy0:radio b43-phy0 debug: Wireless interface started b43-phy0 debug: Adding Interface type 2 ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready # ifconfig lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1 RX packets:62 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:62 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:4256 (4.1 KiB) TX bytes:4256 (4.1 KiB) wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:1A:73:3D:58:A4 UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:18 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:8 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:3661 (3.5 KiB) TX bytes:1604 (1.5 KiB) wmaster0 Link encap:UNSPEC HWaddr 00-1A-73-3D-58-A4-68- FB-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b) Thanks for your help.
