docbook authoring going under fedora. i've used it a fair bit for
writing courseware, so summarizing the steps shouldn't be hard.

Seems like something the smart folks on fedora-docs-list probably did a
long time ago :) There was also a session at FUDCon on docbook...
wondering if there was a video of?
