Okay. So, can you play the file with other players, e.g. madplay (yum
-y install madplay) or mpg321 (yum install mpg321) on the
command-line? It would not be the first time somebody has had a file
with bad id3 headers, for example. Audacious and XMMS are not verbose
enough when they don't recognise a file's format. They try another
input plugin until no one is left.
