I have a problem with dialing out with a Fritz! PCI isdn card.
Totally random the device refuses to activate. I can not
reproduce the problem.
The card is installed in a totally updated FC7 x86_64 system.
It is NOT a hardware problem because under Fedora6 everything
works fine. As described below in the logfile I am afraid I
caused the problem myself.... The question is how do I get rid of it ?
I deactivated NetworkManager & Co. Reinstalled the latest kernel
with --force --replacefiles.
How can I force FC7 to 'forget' anything about wlan1 so how to
start a totally fresh Network setup ?
Henk

So far so good:
THERE IS NO MORE A 'WLAN1'. Some weeks ago I tried to install a wlan card,
a Conceptronic usb with Ralink driver. I could not get it working with
the default drivers rt73usb from Fedora7. I tried it also with
'ndiswrapper' with no result. Now it looks like I caused the problem..

Because of an error message in Gnome Network Device Control (where
I activate ippp0) I deactivated the ippp0 device. I have to activate and
deactivate the device several times untill it activates
correctly. The error message in Gnome: "the device ippp0 is currently
not available".
