of course that would be a very incorrect assumption...this has already
been covered but...

# ls -l /etc/*syslog*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 728 2007-12-19 17:07 /etc/rsyslog.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 738 2007-12-19 14:18 /etc/rsyslog.conf~
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 996 2006-10-12 01:04 /etc/rsyslog.conf.rpmnew

# rpm -q --whatprovides /etc/rsyslog.conf
rsyslog-1.19.11-1.fc8
