Presto for primary sqlite.bz2

Are plans afoot to include updating the primary.sqlite.bz2 files using
presto?? Last night an update dnloaded, at modem speeds, this file three
times, not matching a crc or something like that. TWO hours spent
(wasted) never even getting close to the original purpose of the update.
So, I cranked up smart and let it rip. It downloaded a pile of files but
half were not their original length. It showed the files being
completely dnloaded though. Is it getting confused somehow with
presto'ized files?

Hitting mirror after mirror after mirror to just getting the process
started is, to say the least, pretty discouraging. If the process could
be presto'd, then at least updating the sqlite stuff would not be such
an issue. I would hazard a guess that there are plenty of people in this
list that do not have access not the ca-ching nor the access point to
have high speed access. Please keep us in mind.

I just ripped CNN over a similar issue, a pile of needless content and
ad crap to dnload on their web-pages that just dog down the original
intent, to get some news. Of course some College Grad marketing hard-ass
could make the argument that we aren't their targeted demographic
anyways. Thanx for letting me bitch. I feel better now! <grins> Ric
