never had so much troubles installing fedora as compared to fed 8:
after installation and getting stuck when "Installing bootloader" in the
MBR of the first disk, first partition (hd0,0), and then upgrading twice
with the recommended option "Upgrade Bootloader" i still get:
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on
unknown-blocked(0,0)
Grub params are:
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/bmlinuz-2.6.23.1-42.fc8 ro root=/dev/sda1 rhgb quiet
The partition type is 83, the file system on the partition is ext3fs.
what is broken?
