Last time that happened to me was during an upgrade from FC5 to FC6. It
would just hang on udev for about 15-20 minutes, then it would crank up.
I copied everything over to another drive that I could, that I wanted to
keep, and freshly installed FC6. Nary a burp in the barrel. I have not
updated an install ever since. :) Ric
