There is a currently open mirror in Europe.
Considering that it is midnight there and that the site has good
bandwith, I think it can handle a few downloads.
So, here it is:
ftp://mirror.switch.ch/mirror/fedora/linux/releases/8/Fedora/i386/iso/SHA1SUM
ftp://mirror.switch.ch/mirror/fedora/linux/releases/8/Fedora/i386/iso/Fedora-8-i386-rescuecd.iso
ftp://mirror.switch.ch/mirror/fedora/linux/releases/8/Fedora/i386/iso/Fedora-8-i386-DVD.iso
You have to use something like wget, because the directories are
invisible.
I downloaded the iso and the sha1sum matches with the one I posted
a few hours ago.
Please remember that update servers could be unavailable until
the moment of the official release.
Happy downloading.
Someone willing to start a torrent?
It doesn't work for me and my wget -c.
