Stopping where it does, makes me think you have
an error in the
kernel file. I assume you got it by yum and it had
no errors. If you
would like I can email you a copy of mine and see if

Then it is likely the odd laptop problem and try what the other
fellow suggested. That is quite odd to stop right when it is loading the
kernel.
