Thanks for this. I really have to see first how much my server can handle first.
Note that this will depend much more on your disks, controller, NIC and
buss type than the CPU. If you must use a desktop box as a server, you
might at least be able to beef it up with a good scsi card and drives -
or throw in a lot of RAM to cover up the slowness with buffering.
