It doesn't say to what, that is the issue we all got, The live CD and DVD all works on other laptops, I guess they are not very new. Mine is ACER Travel mate 6292. Is this issue because of the new chipset etc. I downloaded the DVD some time back and live CD yesterday. Shall I download the DVD again and try? Will it make any sense (assuming upgrades to the kernel) Thanks Aaron Konstam wrote: > > On Wed, 2007-10-24 at 22:37 -0700, Tracy12 wrote: >> When I tried the live CD, it gives the message "Cannot find root file >> system!" >> create symlink /dev/root and then exit this shell to continue the boot >> sequence..... >> > create a symlink of what to /dev/root or /dev/root to what? >> >> Why this is such a big issue, Has anyone got this issue and install FC7 >> successfully on a notebook. > > -- > ======================================================================= > Biology is the only science in which multiplication means the same thing > as division. > ======================================================================= > Aaron Konstam telephone: (210) 656-0355 e-mail: akonstam@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > > -- > fedora-list mailing list > fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx > To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list > > -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/FEDORA-core-7-installation-on-laptop-tf4687860.html#a13418187 Sent from the Fedora List mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
