hi, well...i suspect that my box is sort of cracked. I'd like to know if
anyone can identify anything odd/remarkable reading hte netstat -p

Why?
There's nothing in the netstat report to show that. All the unix
connnexions are limited to your box (by definition, it doesn't leave the
system).
All the tcp connexions are you talking to web servers. I presume it's
the sort of thing you do.
I don't see any other inet connexions. Nothing to worry about.
