You need to be an expert. I don't think you have to be very expert. Obviously you have to change the actual kernel and initrd versions to those in use. Also you have to change the LABEL=f7 to the appropriate label. Apart from this, the only serious difficulty is that you need to make a slight change if /boot is on a separate partition. It would probably be better to give two samples, for the two cases. The first sample should probably be for /boot on a separate partition, as that seems to be the standard now.
