Is it really faulty, or just different from your perspective?  I don't
think the GRUB documentation is *that* bad.  This is merely a chroot
situation.  i.e. *This* has its own root, and *that* has its own, but
different, root.

Using FC 4, 5, 6 & 7, plus CentOS 5.  Today, it's FC7.
