Yet I'm happily running Fedora 7 on my PII/266/160MB laptop. ;-)
My apt-get dist-upgrades take a while, yes. (I don't know if yum is faster or 
slower than apt-rpm on that hardware, I've been using only apt-rpm on it for 
ages.) But that's life.
