Here're the contents of /etc/networking/devices/ifcfg-lo:
If you meant /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices/ , I don't have an ifcfg-lo at all. I just have ifcfg-eth0 in that directory.

And # time service network restart
Shutting down interface eth0:                              [  OK  ]
Shutting down loopback interface:                          [  OK  ]
Bringing up loopback interface:                            [  OK  ]
Bringing up interface eth0:
Determining IP information for eth0... done.
                                                           [  OK  ]
