Nope. I also tried booting into older kernels, with no joy.

ugh, yeah. I have tried both the iwl3945, and the ipw3945 drivers. No
joy. It has been working for months with the ipw3945 drivers. I am
strongly suspecting hardware problems at this point. No error messages
in dmesg.
