I've just tried to connect my LaCie disk up to my Fedora box (Intel Duo2 Core): $ uname -a Linux veri.phy.umist.ac.uk 2.6.22.4-65.fc7 #1 SMP Tue Aug 21 21:50:50 EDT 2007 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux but it's not happy with the Firewire 400 connect. All I can see of relevance in /var/log/messages is: Oct 3 14:49:37 veri kernel: firewire_core: giving up on config rom for node id ffc0 Looking about I see that there's been some issues re Firewire and FC7 but does anybody know if it's been fixed or how I can use my LaCie box?
