anyone have a functioning TLDP-related documentation toolchain for fedora?

i recently took over maintainership of one of the documents over at
tldp.org, and its CVS checkout comes with a makefile that's based on
jade and SGML. gack. not only would i prefer a toolchain that uses
XML, but the makefile itself doesn't even work under fedora since it
goes looking for SGML files in the wrong place.

long story short -- does anyone have a TLDP-compatible build process
that works under fedora that i can borrow for this documentation, and
to start some new documentation as well? thanks.
