I just get "Nothing to do" if I try that.

Strange. It wasn't ticked, yet it was shown as ticked.

I tried toggling this option, and the show desktop option a few times.
Nothing seemed to happen, but now it isn't showing the desktop at all
(which is an improvement). I can't turn the desktop back on though.

Something is definitely dodgy.

But I'd rather leave it off than have it as it was before, so thanks
for the help.
