If you are running KDE, klaptop (in kdeutils-extras) provides
a little battery applet in the panel.
I'm sure Gnome has a similar program.

You can probably see the battery details
in /proc/acpi/battery/...

i am using GNOME and couldnt find any program in it for battery, in fact i want a full program for it, isnt there any????
