ImageMagick question

Hi,

I know this is way OT, but I was hoping someone would be able to help me there.

I have two eps files called file1.eps and file2.eps. The first file is 14104511
bytes and the second is 31080029. I want to append these images next to each
other horizontally. So I use the following command:

convert file1.eps file2.eps +append file12.eps

and I get a much blurrier file called file12.eps which is also only 518209
bytes. So, seriously small (like a hundredth). So, my question is: is there a
way to keep the resolution level for the appended file as high as the input
ones? I want a high-res combined image.

Many thanks and best wishes.
Trotter
