Doesn't NetworkManager purposefully avoid interfaces w/ "ONBOOT=yes"?

eth0 also has ONBOOT=yes and it comes up without a problem automatically.

[root@localhost ~]# grep -i boot /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
BOOTPROTO=dhcp
ONBOOT=yes
