I just did an upgrade fc6 to f7 using an f7 i386 DVD. No warnings or errors. Reboot, yum update Then I get a message: "No module named rpm" and no update. It turned out that several of the packages needed for yum (e.g. python-rpm) were newer in the updated fc6 than on the f7 DVD I used for the installation, so after the upgrade the machine still had the fc6 packages. I had to manually "rpm --force -Uvh rpm-python.." for a couple of packages to get yum to run at all. Shouldn't the upgrade process upgrade package-x-fc6 to package-y-f7 even though x>y?
How can you do that? Do you actually want the upgrade to downgrade specific packages to match the version in the media?
