I use the method given at http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Integrate_Firefox_with_KDE#Printing:_KPrinter to make Firefox pass all prints to KPrinter. I find when I use the KDE Print to PDF option in that dialog many (most?) pages print with copyable text, but not all. Matt Flaschen
