I don't have your Asus board
(I have a couple of machines with Asus boards,
but they are older than yours).

This may not be relevant,
but if I were in your position
I would try partitioning with Knoppix or tomsrtbt ,
and then choose "Custom setup" (not the right phrase)
when Anaconda gets round to partitioning.

What does Knoppix think about your disks?
