Do you want to be able to print or not? If someone doesn't bugzilla it, or the maintainer doesn't notice the problem by themselves, it isn't going to get fixed. I can say, however, that the maintainer for CUPS does pay attention to bugzilla. I can't say the same for some other maintainers, I got no indication that they'd even looked at the bugzilla entries. This one should be easy enough to get at least something done about it, there's one very obvious fault: There's no parallel port option in the add printer pages for the CUPS HTTP interface. Putting it back in may be all that's needed. Alternatively, if the interface names aren't provided by CUPS, itself, but something else on the system (e.g. udev), the maintainer will know that, and can tell you where to reassign the bug to, or may even do that themselves. I can still print to my parallel port printer, even if I couldn't configure another one. So that side of things still works. -- [tim@bigblack ~]$ uname -ipr 2.6.22.1-41.fc7 i686 i386 Using FC 4, 5, 6 & 7, plus CentOS 5. Today, it's FC7.
