Hello Tim,
I tried that also.I set the resolution to 800*600 while his monitor supports 1280*1024.Will a fresh reinstall help?I will try to install Intel graphics chipset drivers.From which repository can I get them?

I don't have any problems running on an Intel CPU, so it's not that
reason, in itself.  You might want to retry configuring the display
with:  system-config-display --reconfig

Using FC 4, 5, 6 & 7, plus CentOS 5.  Today, it's FC7.
