cpufreq problem

I'm using a Dual Opteron setup, K8N-DL with two Opteron 250s running in it.

If I enable cpufreq I can see that the CPUs scale down when not busy and ramp up when busy, however, this behaviour only lasts for about 5 minutes and then the entire system freezes requiring a reboot. If on startup I press "I" and disable the cpufreq service everything's fine. If I leave it running, but fix the frequency at maximum using the gnome applets it freezes again.

Works fine under Vista

Am using Fedora 7 x64.

Anyone any ideas about this or what I can do/who I should report the bug to?
