I did these things and clicked activate on Network Device
Control. Here is the log:

Jul 18 12:49:28 mbrc35 kernel: ndiswrapper (add_wep_key:798):
adding encryption key 1 failed (C0010015)
Jul 18 12:49:28 mbrc35 kernel: ndiswrapper (add_wep_key:798):
adding encryption key 1 failed (C0010015)
Jul 18 12:49:30 mbrc35 avahi-daemon[2944]:
Joining mDNS multicast group on interface wlan0.IPv6 with address
   [good address].
Jul 18 12:49:30 mbrc35 avahi-daemon[2944]: New relevant interface
   wlan0.IPv6 for mDNS. Jul 18 12:49:30 mbrc35 avahi-daemon[2944]: Registering new address
record for [good address] on wlan0.*.

The Network Device Control continues to show "Inactive", although
the router thinks it has a connection, with the key having been
accepted. I think I may be looking at a collision between ndiswrapper
and wpa_supplicant.

I am thinking of again reinstalling the system, and trying without
ndiswrapper.

Any opinions on this?

Thanks,
Mike.
