Maybe he types messages into sendmail. I have done that occasionally for
testing or when I have a pregenerated message that already has the headers
I want in it.

He should also tell us whether he wants a one time change or to change the
default as the way you do those is typically going to be different.

I am just using it from command line in linux "mail some@xxxxxxxxxxxxx" it tells me it's from root
I want it to tell me it's from nobody. It is a shell script I am writing to set up as a cronjob.
