Hi there, yes I am sure I did not do the above, I did:

mv -u /tmp/dirA/dirB /dirC/dirB

I've always wished rsync had a --remove-source-after-destination-exists option to get moves right either locally or remotely. I often use it instead of cp for local copies because it always gets updates right.
