exception error

On a machine running F7, I just tried upgrading the CPU from a Celeronto a P-III. I found a cpu that should work (according to a manufactuerertech).

However, twice I got "CPU exception 4 - cpu sync error". I'm sure that Idon't have to re-install the OS - correct? Iow, something is wrong withthe cpu, or the MB doesn't like it for some reason.
