If you use Windows you can attach a web-cam to Skype and see

have that feature. But at least there IS one you can use. I will be glad
to have you call me. My Skype is called k5diusa.
And if you use kopete + jasper (instead of skype) you can attach a camera
and your dear friend Al from Melbourne can also see you!
I don't know about kopete + jasper. Can you talk to people that are
using Skype? The virtue of Skype is it talks to the millions of people
using Windows.
It does much more but I have yet to learn how to use the other
features.
Do let us know, when you figure that out!
I will do that.
So don't sell the non-fedora software short. It has real
capabilities and works just fine on Fedora Linux.
Who's selling it short? To the contrary, you were told about it on this
list, weren't you? We know it's good software, but it's not being shipped
by default with fedora for reasons that I venture to say you wouldn't
care about.
I inagine it has to do with the fact Skype does not let everyone see
their source code. That is too bad.
