What you have to remember is that this is the Microsoft marketing machine going to work. Microsoft has spent millions over the years to create the illusionary image that they are single-handedly responsible for all innovation in the tech industry, and this whole patent nonsense is simply an extension of that. They don't want to name patents, they just want to make PHB's think that FLOSS is stealing ideas from Microsoft without paying.
