i am using the rpms from the original Fedora repository:

cman.x86_64                              2.0.60-3.fc7           installed
openais.x86_64                           0.80.1-6               installed
gfs2-utils.x86_64                        0.1.25-1.fc7           installed

When i manually try to start the cluster i get the same error when issuing "cman_tool join".

Check if the openais config file is missing, your log reports :

Jun 14 11:25:50 localhost aisexec: [MAIN ] AIS Executive couldn't open configuration component.

Check if the configuration files is in the correct path, with the original cvs version is under /etc/ais, and the file are the openais.conf, check privileges for read, write and executive, look here for examples :

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root  309  4 mag 21:12 openais.conf
