I'm using Thunderbird as my mail client on Fedora 7. When I receive a
message that has JPG images embedded in it, I get the message displayed
with images shown as "broken links" but I get all the images listed as
attachments. I've tried checking the box that says "Display attachments
inline" but that doesn't seem to make a difference.

Suggestions?
How about selecting

View | Message Body As | Original HTML

Already set that way.

are you sure these images come as attachments and are not localed on external resources? AFAIK Thunderbird does not like to display these by default.
