reverting to an earlier package?

on a FC6 system I downloaded the updates for PAM this morning, now I am no
longer able to do smtp-auth with my MTA (exim - not from the RPM) either I
need to figure out what changed in the new version of PAM or revert to the
previous version.  I was running (I believe) pam-0.99.6.2-3.16 the system
is now running 0.99.6.2-3.22

How do I go back?
